Kalamazoo, MI: On December 21, 2017 at approximately 01:11 AM the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety dispatch center received a call stating that a subject had been stabbed at a residence in the 400 block of Reed Street. KDPS officers responded and found a 28 year old male with stab wounds to his head and abdomen. Officers provided first aid and the victim was eventually transported to the hospital via ambulance and is currently in stable condition.
During the investigation officers learned that a physical altercation had occurred between the stabbing victim and the suspect. The altercation escalated and the victim was stabbed with a knife by the suspect. The suspect is a 23 year old Kalamazoo man who was lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail for assault with intent to do great bodily harm.
