Missing Person: Julius O’Bryant Jr

Update: A concerned citizen reported a subject knocking on the door of a closed medical office in the 500 block of W. Crosstown.  The subject was identified as Mr. O’bryant.  He was returned home safely to his family.


Kalamazoo, MI: On 9-22-17 at approximately 7:00 p.m. KDPS Officers responded to 500 block of W. Walnut Street on report of a missing person. Officers learned that 70 year old Julius O’Bryant Jr. is suffering from mid-stage Alzheimer’s and walked away from his residence. Officers from Kalamazoo Public Safety, along with family, checked the area extensively but have been unable to locate Mr. O’Bryant.

The elderly males last known description is a follows:

Mr. O’Bryant is a Light skinned black male in his 70’s, approximately 5’06” and weighs around 170 lbs. He was last seen wearing khaki shorts, a plain blue t-shirt, and black baseball cap.

Public Safety is requesting anyone with information regarding the location and whereabouts for this subject to contact the Kalamazoo Public Safety at (269)337-8994.

Missing Person

Kalamazoo, MI: The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is currently looking for a missing person who was last seen in the 700 block of Douglas Avenue on the morning of Saturday March 25th 2017.

Mr. Elishiba Lashawn Thompson suffers from health issues and hasn’t taken his medication since Saturday. He is best described as a 27 year-old, B/ M, 5’ 11” / 220 lbs., with short black hair. He was last seen wearing all black clothing with white writing on his right pant leg and blue or black sneakers.

***UPDATE***

On 3-31-17, KDPS and Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department did an extensive search for Mr. Thompson in the area of 10th St and H Avenue. Thompson was not located but he was last seen in this area a couple of days ago. Once again, Mr. Thompson suffers from health issues and hasn’t taken his medication.

We are asking for citizens in the 10th St. and H Avenue area to be on the lookout for Mr. Thompson.

Public Safety looking for voluntarily missing person

Kalamazoo, MI: Kalamazoo Public Safety is requesting the public’s help in locating a voluntarily missing adult to check on his well being.

Luis Humberto-Curiel Lares, 08/01/1985, Hispanic male, 5’7” 220lbs, short black hair, scruffy beard, and brown eyes, was last heard from around 1800 hours on 12/01/16. Mr. Lares advised his brother he was on his way home, but he never arrived. Mr. Lares was believed to have had (2) two bus tokens and ($10) ten dollars in his possession. Mr. Lares was last seen wearing a black puffy winter jacket that extends down to his knees with brown fur around the hood, along with blue jeans. He also carries with him a black walking cane.

Mr. Lares did not show up for work this morning, and has not been heard from since last night. Family is concerned for his safety and would like to make sure he is ok. Mr. Lares is mentally impaired, but functions well enough to go out on his own and hold employment.

On 12-2-2016, KDPS was informed that Mr. Lares had returned home safe and sound.  He was located and found to be in good health.

Kalamazoo, MI: Kalamazoo Public Safety is requesting the public’s help in locating a voluntarily missing adult to check on his well being.

Nathaniel Christopher Ratliff, 3/8/94, white male, 5’07” 130 lbs, brown hair, blue eyes, with a tattoo on his upper right arm that says “Fighter”, was last seen in the 3700 block of S Park St on 10/30/16. He left his wallet, cell phone, keys, car and laptop at his home. He has not shown up to work since 10/28/16 and this is very uncharacteristic of him. Neither family nor friends have heard from him and they would like to make sure that he is ok.

Ratliff doesn’t suffer from any medical or mental issues.

KDPS is looking for missing person Yolanda Nicole Williams

Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is seeking assistance from the community in locating Yolanda Nicole Williams. Williams was last seen on November 4th, 2016 at 11pm. Ms Williams is 26 years old, born 6-17-1990. She is a black female, approx. 5`9″ 140 lbs. Williams has brown eyes, shoulder length black hair, with a possible weave, skinny build, and possibly wearing a red and black checkered coat.

Williams does have a cell phone, however, it can only be used in wifi areas.

Williams is bipolar and also suffers from schizophrenia. She has not been taking her medications.

Family members feel that there’s a possibility of exploitation due to prior incidents.
