Neighborhood block party to be held on October 31

October 28, 2016 by Kalamazoo Public Safety

Kalamazoo, MI: On Monday, October 31, 2016, citizens throughout Kalamazoo are invited to the Edison Neighborhood “Trunk or Treat Block Party” community event hosted by Urban Alliance, Kalamazoo Experiential Learning Center, and the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.

This event will be held from 4:30pm – 7:00pm at 1009 E. Stockbridge in the City of Kalamazoo. This event is to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood safety. Many organizations will be hosting a variety of special events such as: free food and candy, outdoor games, live music, and youth activities.

Officers from the Kalamazoo Dept. of Public Safety will also have a fire truck and police vehicle on display. The success of this event is due to the many volunteers as well as monetary support of participating vendors.

It is our sincere desire to make our neighborhoods a safe and attractive place to live and visit. This is one of the many initiatives taken on by both the Kalamazoo Dept. of Public Safety and community partnerships within the City of Kalamazoo.
