Mobile Food Service Unit Inspection Rally
Friday March 13, 2020
On Friday March 13, 2020 beginning at 9:00 am a Mobile Food Service inspection rally will be hosted at the Oshtemo Fire Department station 5-2 located at 3500 South 6th Street.
At 9:00 am a required safety education presentation will start off the rally. Inspections will begin after the safety presentation. The operator of the MFSU when open to the public should be a person who has attended a Safety Class. A person who has attended the class should be present when operating the MFSU when open to the public.
This class and inspection are required for all Mobile Food Service Units to include hand carts which utilize a fossil fuel.
This program is reciprocal with many communities in the Kalamazoo area and Grand Rapids.
This presentation and inspection are free. Please inquire with the community you will be operating in to determine the requirement for further permitting or fees.
To avoid creating congestion for emergency vehicles that may need to leave please park your vehicle on the side of the road parallel the fire station starting at the back of the station on the west side.
