Shooting Investigation

Kalamazoo, MI:

On Friday, April 14, 2022, at approximately 6:35 PM, Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers responded to the area of Cobb and Elizabeth in reference to a subject that had been shot. When officers arrived, they located the victim, a 16-year-old Kalamazoo resident. The victim had been shot one time in the leg; he was transported to a local hospital with nonlife threatening injuries.

The suspect fled prior to police arrival and has not been identified. No suspect description was provided.
