On Saturday, April 15, 2023, at approximately 4:20 a.m., officers with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to the 2900 block of Howard for the report of a subject who was struck by gunfire. Upon arrival a male suffering a gun shot wound was located and medical care was provided. The victim was transported to a local hospital.
The victim, a 41-year-old Kalamazoo resident died at the hospital as a result of their injuries. The victim is not being identified at this time.
