KDPS Records Division Closed tomorrow Friday, October 14th

The Kalamazoo Public Safety Records Division will be closed on Friday, October 14, 2022.

Normal business days/hours will resume on Monday, October 17th, 2022:

Mon-Fri 8 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., excluding holidays.

The following alternatives are also available:

To pay a parking ticket issued by the City of Kalamazoo/Public Safety, do so online at RMC | Ticketing and Enforcement (rmcpay.com)

Copies of accident reports are available for purchase online at https://policereports.lexisnexis.com/

To request a copy of a police report, send an email to kdpsrecords@kalamazoocity.org with the specific request and it will be acknowledged when business hours resume.

For criminal history checks, the Internet Criminal History Access Tool (ICHAT) allows the search of public criminal history record information maintained by the Michigan State Police, Criminal Justice Information Center. All felonies and serious misdemeanors that are punishable by over 93 days are required to be reported to the state repository by law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, and courts in all 83 Michigan counties. Information on obtaining these background checks is available at Home Page – ICHAT Menu (michigan.gov)

Sex Offender Registration payments can be made at Kalamazoo City Hall, 241 W. South. We apologize for any inconvenience.
