Kalamazoo Public Safety investigates homicide

Kalamazoo Public Safety investigates homicide

Kalamazoo, MI:

On September 17th, 2022, at approximately 4:42 a.m., Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers responded to the 1400 block of Washington Avenue after receiving a report of shots fired and a subject who had been struck by gunfire. First arriving PSOs located a male lying in the road with apparent gunshot wounds. The man was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The victim is a 30 year old male from Kalamazoo. His identity is not being released at this time.

Public Safety detectives responded to investigate the incident. As of the time of this news release, no arrest has been made.
