1000 Block of Hotop Shooting Investigation

Kalamazoo, Michigan:  On Friday, September 02, 2022, at approximately 10:19 p.m. Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers were sent to the 1000 block of Hotop to investigate multiple reports of shots fired.

As officers were responding to investigate the shots fired call, a call came in for a subject shot in the 1000 block of Bridge. Officers contacted the male victim, an 18-year-old Kalamazoo resident. The victim sustained multiple life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital where his is listed in critical condition.

No suspect information is available currently. The investigation is on going.
