Stolen vehicle and firearms recovered

Stolen vehicle and firearms recovered

Kalamazoo, MI:

On August 3rd 2022 around 8:00 PM, Kalamazoo Public Safety located a stolen vehicle in the 1000 block of east Stockbridge Ave.  Officers had information that handgun had been stolen along with the automobile.  Officers located two involved parties and performed a citizen contact.  A search of the stolen vehicle discovered two handguns inside a bag that was in the car. Through the investigation, a 30-year-old Kalamazoo resident was arrested on charges related to the stolen vehicle while a 16-year-old Kalamazoo resident was arrested on weapons charges. 

Both subjects were lodged at the appropriate facility.
