On July 31, 2022 at approximately 4:10pm, Public Safety Officers responded to the 4200 block of West Michigan Avenue for a report of a structure fire. PSO’s arrived and found a fire on the outside of the building and were able to extinguish it in under 10 minutes. The exterior of the building sustained fire damage but the inside did not.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by the Kalamazoo Fire Marshal’s Office. At this time, a cause has not been determined. The building was closed to business at the time of the fire, and nobody was inside.
