9 people shot at large party

9 people shot at large party

Kalamazoo, Michigan:

On Saturday, July 23, 2022, at approximately 2:13 A.M., Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers responded to the 1300 block of N Church Street for reports of several shots fired and several people hit by gunfire.  Upon officers’ arrival, 2 victims of gunshots were located with non-life-threatening injuries.  7 more victims from gunshots arrived at local hospitals suffering from non-life-threatening injuries from this location.

All 9 victims are Kalamazoo residents and were treated at local hospitals and listed in stable condition.  No suspects have been identified at this time and the incident is under investigation.  During the investigation, it appears prior to the shooting there was a large party.
