Shooting Investigation

Kalamazoo, MI:

On Monday, July 11, 2022, at approximately 0300 AM, Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers responded to the 900 block of Hazard in reference to a subject that had been shot. When officers arrived, they located the victim, a 34-year-old Kalamazoo resident. The victim had been shot one time in the leg; he was transported to a local hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. While officers were speaking with the first victim, a second shooting victim arrived at a local hospital; he left prior to police arrival on scene.

The second victim, a 30-year-old Kalamazoo resident, had been shot multiple times in both legs.

The suspect fled prior to police arrival and has not been identified. There are no suspect descriptions or vehicle descriptions at this time.
