Mobile Nuisance Party Enforcement

Kalamazoo, MI: On Saturday, June 18, 2022, officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) conducted a directed patrol by the request of business owners to reduce the large gatherings and illegal activities that commonly take place during Mobile Nuisance Parties at local businesses in the City.

During the enforcement, officers encountered crowds in the 2900 block of S. Howard that were engaged in Mobile Nuisance Party activities including illegal firearm possession, fighting, open intoxicants, littering, loud music, and dancing on cars.

As a result of this enforcement officers made the following arrests:

23-year-old male, Kalamazoo resident: Carrying concealed weapon in an Auto (firearm), and possession of a un-registered firearm.

40-year-old male, Kalamazoo resident: Disorderly conduct

Both adult males were arrested and lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail.

Anyone having information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety at 488-8911 or Silent Observer at 343-2100

By authority of:  Sgt. Chris Rieser
