Traffic stop leads to seizure of two firearms and narcotics

Traffic stop leads to seizure of two firearms and narcotics

On Saturday, May 7, 2022, at approximately 10:37 p.m. officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of N Church Street.  During the traffic stop, the driver was arrested on a valid warrant.  Upon further investigation, the driver was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics.  During a search of the vehicle, two loaded handguns were found.     

Two 36-year-old Kalamazoo residents were arrested on multiple weapons offenses and narcotics related charges.  Both Kalamazoo residents are lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail awaiting arraignment.
