STRUCTURE FIRE

Kalamazoo, MI:

On January 27th 2022, around 10:30am Public Safety received calls reference a structure fire in the 1000 block of Interfaith Blvd.  First arriving officers located heavy smoke conditions from the south side of the multi-unit residence.  Officers immediately evacuated the adjacent apartments then moved to an interior fire attack, extinguishing the flames in just over 10 minutes.

LIFE EMS responded at the request of the resident to evaluate juveniles who were on scene, however there were no reported injuries.   The Fire Marshal’s office was contacted and is currently investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
