Residential Structure Fire 1300 March St
Kalamazoo, MI:
On January 1st 2022, at approximately 2:30am a Public Safety Officer observed smoke coming from the eaves of a residence in the 1300 block of March St. A full fire response was dispatched while officers immediately evacuated the residents and a dog.
Active fire was located in the attic space and an aggressive interior fire attack quickly extinguished the fire. Fire damage appeared limited to the attic and 2nd floor of the structure. There were no reported injuries for the residents or fire fighters during the call for service.
The cause of the fire is unknown and currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s office.
