Residential Structure Fire 2800 S Burdick St
Kalamazoo, MI:
On Thursday December 16th at approximately 01:00 a.m, officers with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to reports of a fire in the 2800 block of south Burdick St.
Officers arrived at the building to find heavy smoke conditions and fire in the basement of a multi-residential structure. An aggressive fire attack was conducted which contained the fire to one residence and the fire extinguished within 14 minutes from the first 911 call.
The cause of the fire is unknown and currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s office.
