Vehicle Crash Involving Ambulance

Kalamazoo, MI:        On Sunday November 28th, 2021 at 9:25pm, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to the intersection of Whites and S. Westnedge for a two-vehicle crash involving an ambulance and a car.  The ambulance was enroute to Bronson Hospital with lights and sirens activated when a vehicle traveling west on Whites Road entered the intersection.  The crash occurred in the intersection.   

The ambulance was transporting a critical patient at the time of the crash.  A second ambulance was called to transport the existing patient and another ambulance to treat those on-scene.  The injuries are considered non-life threatening.  Alcohol and drugs are not factors in the crash.  The crash is still under investigation.
