Suspect Identified Who Made Threats to Local High School

Kalamazoo, MI:

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety and Kalamazoo Public Schools worked collaboratively regarding two social media threats targeting Loy Norrix High School.

These threats were found to be false after emergency responders and school staff searched extensively to confirm that no valid threat existed.

KDPS detectives were able to identify and locate the source of the threats. The suspect is a Loy Norrix student who admitted to creating the two threats and posting them on social media. The student will face consequences per the KPS Student Code of Conduct and Michigan state law.
