Gun seized during traffic stop
Kalamazoo, Michigan:
On Saturday, November 6, 2021 at approximately 1:18 A.M, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Officers were on a directed patrol in the 600 block of E Michigan Ave due to recent weapon and drug violations in that area. During the directed patrol, an officer observed a subject with a handgun enter a vehicle and drive away.
A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and during the investigation the handgun was located. A 26-year-old Kalamazoo resident was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon.
