Attempted Carjacking

Kalamazoo, MI:

On Sunday, October 24, 2021 at approximately 2:24 P.M., officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to the 3800 block of Kent Avenue for a report of an attempted carjacking.  The victim was approached by four juveniles who demanded his vehicle and stole some of his personal items while assaulting him.  The juveniles then fled in a dark grey Ford Fusion with dark colored rims.  The juveniles have not been apprehended at this time and officers are still on scene investigating.     

The victim received minor injuries during this incident and is seeking treatment at a local hospital. 

Kalamazoo Public Safety would like to remind everyone to stay vigilant when entering and exiting your vehicle.
