Stolen Vehicle Pursuit

Kalamazoo, MI:

On Saturday, October 23rd, 2021 at approximately 12:57 P.M., officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety located a stolen vehicle near the intersection of Westnedge and Vine St.

A traffic stop was attempted, however the vehicle fled.  Officers pursued the vehicle and ultimately terminated the pursuit in the Edison Neighborhood.  Officers checked the area and a witness advised that the suspects had just abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.  The observant citizen provided a suspect description and direction of travel.  Officers were able to locate the two juvenile suspects leaving the area on foot.  The juvenile suspects were arrested on multiple charges and lodged at the Kalamazoo County Juvenile Home.

Kalamazoo Public Safety would like to thank the vigilant citizen for providing a detailed description of the suspects which led to the arrests.

Anyone having information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety at 337-8120 or Silent Observer at 343-2100
