Shots fired, two people injured

Two Subjects Shot

Kalamazoo, MI:

On Thursday, August 18, 2021, at approximately 1:29 A.M., Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers responded to the 700 block of Riverview Drive for a report of a shooting. Upon officers’ arrival, they located two male subjects who had been struck by gunfire. KDPS officers treated the wounds on scene.

One victim, a 20-year-old Kalamazoo resident, was transported to Bronson Methodist Hospital and is listed in stable condition. The other, a 28 year old Kalamazoo resident was taken to Borgess Hospital. He is also in stable condition. The suspect has not been identified.

The incident is still under investigation and Public Safety is asking anyone with information on this incident to contact Kalamazoo Public Safety at (269) 488-8911 or Silent Observer at 343-2100, kalamazoosilentobserver.com.
