Kalamazoo neighborhoods to host National Night Out events Tuesday, August 3

Kalamazoo, Mich. – On Tuesday, August 3, 2021, citizens throughout Kalamazoo are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for National Night Out. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

This year celebrates the 38th Annual National Night Out event. On this occasion, residents in neighborhoods throughout Kalamazoo and across the nation are asked to promote police-community partnerships; crime, drug, and violence prevention; safety and neighborhood unity.

Many neighborhoods in our community will be hosting a variety of special events – such as block parties, cookouts, and youth activities – to commemorate the occasion.

Please find a list of known National Night Out events below:

Edison Neighborhood 806 Washington St. 5:30 – 630 p.m.

Eastside Association Rockwell Park 4 – 6 p.m.

Vine Neighborhood Dutton Street Park 5 – 730 p.m.

National Night Out is an enjoyable way to promote neighborhood spirit. On August 3, 2021, we invite citizens to celebrate with us and their fellow neighbors.
