Firearm and Drugs Recovered

Kalamazoo, MI: 

On Monday, July 26th, 2021 around 11:00pm, Kalamazoo Public Safety officers were monitoring the 400 block of West Michigan Ave to address quality of life concerns.

A traffic stop was initiated on a car leaving the area for a moving violation. The driver, a 19 -year-old Kalamazoo resident, was ultimately arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and narcotics violations.

Simultaneously, Officers contacted a second vehicle parked in the 400 blk of W Michigan Ave. The driver, a 20-year-old Kalamazoo resident, was found to have multiple felony warrants and taken into custody. The passenger, a 21-year-old Kalamazoo resident, was taken into custody for felony warrants and narcotics violations.
