Traffic stop leads to seizure of Firearm
Kalamazoo, Michigan:
On Monday, May 31, 2021, at approximately 1:00 A.M., a Kalamazoo Public Safety Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving the 500 block of Ada Street. When the officer went to contact the occupants of the vehicle the passenger quickly exited the vehicle telling the officer there was a gun inside the vehicle.
The passenger, ID as a 22-year-old Kalamazoo resident, was arrested for various weapon offenses after a gun was discovered. The driver was not charged and was released on scene.
