Kalamazoo, MI: On Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at approximately 7:06 p.m. Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers responded to a report of a victim with a gunshot wound in the 2200 block of S. Westnedge Avenue.
Public Safety officers arrived and found a victim in the roadway, who was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Bystanders were providing medical assistance at the time of Officer’s arrival. Public Safety Officers assumed medical treatment of the victim, who was soon transported to an area hospital for treatment. The victim is a 31-year old Kalamazoo resident and is listed in critical but stable condition.
A portion of S Westnedge Avenue was shut down for approximately 2hrs as Officers investigated the incident. The incident is still under investigation.
