Firearms seized during traffic stops

Kalamazoo, Michigan:

On Sunday, May 9, 2021, Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers seized five handguns during three traffic stops.  At approximately 11:00 P. M, officers observed a subject who appeared to be concealing a handgun at a local business.  A traffic stop on the vehicle that subject was in led to the seizure of three handguns.  Three Detroit area residents were arrested during that stop for various weapon offenses.

At approximately 11:15 P.M, officers conducted a traffic stop on another vehicle related to the first traffic stop.  One handgun was seized during that traffic stop.  A Detroit area resident was arrested on various weapon offenses from that traffic stop.

At approximately 3:30 A.M, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and seized a handgun from the driver of that vehicle.  A Kalamazoo resident was arrested for various weapon offenses.
