Stolen Firearm Recovered During Traffic Stop

Kalamazoo, Michigan: On Saturday, March 27, 2021, at approximately 02:10 a.m. a Kalamazoo Public Safety officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 700 block of E Vine for a traffic violation. During the course of the traffic stop officers located a firearm that was later found to be stolen.
The driver of the vehicle, a 41-year-old Kalamazoo resident, was arrested on multiple felony warrants. A 30-year-old passenger and Kalamazoo resident was arrested for multiple felony weapons offenses.
Anyone having information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety at 337-8139 or Silent Observer at 343-2100.
