House fire in Kalamazoo

Kalamazoo, MI:

On February 10th, at approximately 7:23 am, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to a house fire in the 400 block of Clinton Avenue. First arriving officers encountered heavy flames and smoke pouring from the side of the home. Three adults and a dog were able to escape from the home. Public Safety officers were able to bring the fire under control after about one hour, but remained on scene for another two hours conducting extensive overhaul operations. The fire is currently under investigation.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Fire Marshal at 337-8260 or Silent Observer at 343-2100.
