Structure Fire

Kalamazoo, MI:

On Sunday, January 24th, 2021 at approximately 7:39 P.M., Officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to the 800 blk of E. Stockbridge for a report of a structure fire. When KDPS Officers arrived, smoke and flames were observed coming from the attic area.

KDPS Officers were able to bring the fire under control within 30 minutes and were on scene for two hours. The occupants were home at the time of the incident, and thankfully no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is not yet known and is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s office.
