Gunfire Strikes Two Victims

Kalamazoo, Michigan:

On Thursday, January 21, 2021 at approximately 2:30 p.m., Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers responded to the report of gunfire in the 700 block of South Howard Street.  Responding officers arrived and located a victim inside their home suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Officers on scene interviewed numerous witnesses to this event who reported a rolling gun battle between two vehicles.  Gunfire from this incident appeared to have struck a residence in the area, entered the home, and struck a victim.

A second victim arrived at a local hospital a short time later suffering from a gunshot wound.

Both victims are being treated at an area hospital.  There injuries are non-life threatening.

Anyone having information regarding this matter is asked to contact the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety at (269) 488-8911 or Silent Observer at (269) 343-2100.
