Seniors shop with a Public Safety Officer

Kalamazoo, MI:

We are glad to announce that a generous anonymous donor has partnered with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety by donating money which will be used to help Kalamazoo area seniors this holiday season. This program allows seniors in Kalamazoo to interact with officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety in a positive setting.  With the help of the community, several senior citizens have been identified to take part in this new initiative.  Officers will be assisting them with shopping on 12-26-2020 at the Park Street Market.

Programs like these are critical because they help the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety build relationships and develop a sense of community with our residents.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety would like to thank the anonymous donor for making this program possible.

By Authority of Lieutenant Eric Reiber
