Firearm Seized After Reports of Shots Fired

Shots Fired

Kalamazoo, MI:

On December 22nd at approximately 9:00 PM, Kalamazoo Public Safety responded for a report of gun shots near Greenleaf Circle.  A witness was able to give a vehicle description from where the shots came from.  Arriving officers located the described vehicle and a subject in the immediate area who was armed with an unregistered pistol.  Officers were able to safely take the individual, a 23 year old Kalamazoo resident, into custody on multiple firearms related charges.

Kalamazoo Public Safety thanks the community for their assistance in the matter.  Instances like this continue serve to affirm that Public Safety and the community are partners in resolving crime.
