Shooting Investigation

Shooting Investigation
At approximately 2:20 a.m. on December 16, 2020, KDPS Officers heard approximately 8 gunshots while on patrol near the 700 block of N. Pitcher. Citizens contacted dispatch reporting having heard gunshots. A description of an involved vehicle was provided and responding officers located the vehicle as it was leaving the scene. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop however the vehicle fled. The suspect vehicle was found unoccupied near the 1500 block of Woodward Ave. The suspects have not been identified at this time.
Officers responded to the 700 block of N. Pitcher and located evidence of the shooting. While on scene, a 26-year-old Kalamazoo resident arrived at a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
