Garage Fire

On 12/14/2020, at around 10:00 pm, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Officers responded to the 1000 Block of Sherwood Avenue regarding a garage fire. Officers arrived to discover a detached, unoccupied garage to the rear of the property engulfed in flames.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers made immediate efforts to extinguish the blaze and within minutes of this diligent effort the fire was snuffed out. The Fire Marshall responded for further investigation as overhaul efforts were conducted. The cause of this fire is currently under investigation.
