On Thursday, November 5, 2020 at approximately 5:00 p.m., Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers responded to the 900 block of Charlotte Avenue in reference to the report of a subject who had been stabbed.
Officers arrived in the area and located a victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim reported being approached by an unknown suspect who demanded property from them. The victim stated that when they refused the suspect stabbed them repeatedly before fleeing the area.
Public Safety Officers rendered aid to the victim who was transported to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect has been described as an approximately six-foot-tall black male who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The suspect was further described as having the hood of the sweatshirt up over the head and was wearing a black face covering that hid the nose and mouth.
