Shooting Investigation N. Westnedge Ave / Ada St

On Friday, October 9, 2020 at approximately 11:20 pm, officers with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to a local hospital to investigate a shooting. The victim, a 58-year-old Kalamazoo resident, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation officers learned the victim was near N. Westnedge Ave/ Ada St when he was shot. The victim was not able to provide a description of the subject who shot him.
Responding officers arrived in the area of N. Westnedge Ave/ Ada St and attempted to locate evidence and potential witnesses. These efforts included a door to door canvass. No suspect information was obtained at this time.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is continuing to investigate this incident. Anyone having information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety at 337-8139 or Silent Observer at 343-2100.
