4200 Hidden Hills Dr Shooting

Kalamazoo, MI

4200 Hidden Hills Dr Shooting


On September 6th, 2020 just after midnight, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety was dispatched to the 4200 blk of Hidden Hills Dr for a report of a shooting. Officers from Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office, Kalamazoo Township Police Department, Michigan State Police, and WMU Police Department assisted with the investigation as there were several hundred people loitering in the area.
Officers located two victims suffering injuries from gunshot wounds. The first, a 26-year-old Kalamazoo man with a non-fatal gunshot wound. Officers treated the victim on scene, and he was transported to an area hospital by Life EMS. He is listed in stable condition.
The second victim, a 17-year-old Kalamazoo man was found in transport to the hospital with a non-fatal gunshot wound. Officers were able to provide medical assistance along the roadside. He was transported to an area hospital by Life EMS. He is listed in stable condition.
Officers on scene located 3 firearms, several vehicles that were hit by gunfire, and additional evidence of a shooting. A 37-year-old Grand Rapids man was arrested for multiple weapons charges. He is currently being held at Kalamazoo County Jail awaiting arraignment.
This incident is currently under investigation and no names will be released at this time.
