Personal Injury Crash

KALAMAZOO, MI: On Thursday, September 3, 2020, at approximately 6:30 pm Public Safety Officers were dispatched to the intersection of W Kalamazoo Ave and N Westnedge Ave for a personal injury accident involving two vehicles. Officers arrived on scene within moments of the call and confirmed that one of the vehicles had struck a traffic pole causing the driver to be pinned inside the vehicle after the initial collision happened in the intersection.

Officers worked for several minutes to extricate the driver out of the vehicle while other officers and Life paramedics tended to a passenger who was also injured in the crash. Approximately 15 Public Safety Officers along with Life paramedics were utilized during this crash to render aid to the injured and maintain safety around the scene.

Two passengers involved in the crash were transported to a nearby hospital to seek medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
