House Fire 1300 Alamo Ave

On August 22, 2020, at approximately 6:46 am, Kalamazoo Public Safety responded to a report of a house fire in the 1300 block of Alamo Ave.  The initial report indicated that there were kids inside the home.  Upon arrival the front porch was on fire with smoke coming from the windows.  Separate teams of firefighters addressed the active fire while others searched the home for occupants.  No one was located inside.

The fire was contained to the front porch with smoke extending inside the home, the cause of the fire appears suspicious and is under investigation by the Fire Marshals office.
