Victim Shot Inside Vehicle

Kalamazoo, MI: 

On Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at approximately 8:30 pm Officers with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety were dispatched to a local hospital regarding an individual with a gunshot wound.  Responding officers arrived and contacted this individual.

Through investigation it was reported to Public Safety Officers that the incident occurred in the 800 block of E Paterson Street.  It was reported that several individuals forcefully entered the victim’s vehicle.  It was also reported that one of the individuals discharged a firearm during the altercation striking the victim.

The 28-year-old victim is currently receiving medical attention at a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.
