On Saturday August 1st, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) was alerted by several members of the community regarding a threatening Facebook “Live” post. In the post the male subject was threatening violence on a Kalamazoo neighborhood in retaliation for a previous shooting that occurred the prior day.
KDPS Detectives investigated this on-line post and were concerned about this threatening content and the fear that it had created in the community. On Wednesday August 5th, Detectives were able to secure a warrant for this subject’s arrest related to the on-line threats. Later that same day the subject was arrested without incident.
This subject a 26-year-old Kalamazoo residence, Jhontae Jamison, was arraigned on Thursday August 6th for making terrorist threats and using a computer to commit a crime. He is currently being lodged by the Kalamazoo County Sheriff Office.
