Kalamazoo, MI:

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety and Public Services Department are currently on scene of a water main break on E Crosstown between S Park St and S Westnedge Ave. The breakage has caused significant damage to the roadway and it is currently unsafe to drive on.

Currently E Crosstown between S Park and S Westnedge is closed. Also, the western most lane of S Park St is closed due to the water following into that lane of travel.

There is not a current restoration estimate due to the extent of damage to the impacted area.  The public is encouraged to avoid this area until this issue can be resolved.

Authority:  Sgt Bentley
