Shots Fired

Kalamazoo, MI:

On 7/10/20, at approximately 11:11 am, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers were dispatched to 900 block of E Stockbridge for a report of several shots fired. As officers were arriving, witnesses pointed out a vehicle and said the intended target of the shooting was inside it. Officers attempted to make contact with the occupants of vehicle, but it fled at high speed from the Officers. Public Safety Officers also checked the area and located several spent shell casings from a handgun.

Witnesses described the intended target of the shooting as a black male wearing a white t-shirt and orange pants. The vehicle that the man was riding in was a gray Nissan Xterra SUV with no license plate.

Witnesses described the shooter as a black male wearing a white t-shirt and black gym shorts. He was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

As of this time, no victims have come forward, and it is not known if anybody was struck by the gunfire.
