On July 3, 2020 citizens reported smoke and flames at a residence in the 2100 block of South Burdick Street. Arriving Public Safety Officers found heavy smoke and flames showing from the rear of the structure. Neighbors informed officers that the structure was vacant, and no one was believed to be inside. The fire was brought under control in under 20 minutes. There were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s office.
