June 25, 2020 by Danielle Guilds

On Monday June 22nd at approximately 4:00pm KDPS responded to 491 W. Michigan Ave. regarding shots fired at a local gas station. Through the investigation it was determined that the occupants of two vehicles met up and got into one vehicle. An argument ensued and two subjects pulled out firearms. Shots were exchanged between the subjects.  The male suspects and an unidentified female left the area in their vehicles and US Currency was left scattered in the parking lot.  At this time, KDPS has not had contact with any of the involved parties.

This shooting occurred in a business parking lot while the business was open and endangered the lives of innocent bystanders who were nearby. KDPS is releasing the attached video in hopes that anyone with information regarding this incident will reach out to KDPS. Images are released of the males subjects that were observed possessing firearms and the two vehicles involved.

Anyone having information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety at 337-8139 or Silent Observer at 343-2100.
