Vehicle Fire

Kalamazoo, MI:

On Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at approximately 3:15 am, The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to the 1000 block of Russel Street for a vehicle fire.  Upon arrival flames had consumed a car and ignited a second.  Officers worked quickly to evacuate the surrounding homes and protect them from fire damage as they extinguished the vehicles.  The fire was brought under control in about 15 minutes.

The fire is currently being investigated by the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety’s Fire Marshal’s Office.
