Protest Demonstration

Kalamazoo, MI

Today June 1, 2020, at 6:00 p.m., several churches in the Kalamazoo County region have planned a protest to be held at numerous locations within the City of Kalamazoo and surrounding areas. Specifically, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) will be enhancing staffing to provide additional police presence at the locations within the city limits. These locations include; Bronson Park, Kalamazoo County Courthouse and a parking lot located at 700 N. Park. There will be other demonstrations held outside the City of Kalamazoo, handled by those jurisdictions.

The mission of KDPS will be to maintain safety for the protesters and ensure people’s First Amendment Rights are protected.
